Chitkara University hosts 34th International Public Health Management Development Program

Chitkara University hosted nursing delegates from 21 African and Asian countries as part of the 34th International Public Health Management Development Program (IPHMDP), organised in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Program of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

As part of the study visit, the delegates toured the university’s nursing facilities, including simulation laboratories and research centres. They also learnt about institution-wide initiatives aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and attended a session on the role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare. The visit included an interactive healthcare quiz and demonstrations of digital health technologies.

“Bringing together healthcare professionals from different countries creates valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge and learn from one another. Such interactions help advance healthcare education while encouraging the responsible use of emerging technologies to address evolving healthcare needs,” said Dr. Madhu Chitkara, President and Co-Founder, Chitkara University.

The program provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas and discuss practices in healthcare education and public health. Through such academic engagements, Chitkara University continues to promote international collaboration, research and innovation in healthcare education.
